Prospect H086/AC National Museum of Wales Section

Welcome to the Prospect Amgueddfa Cymru – National Museum Wales Section pages. The Section has a membership across all eight AC-NMW sites.

Our Section is part of the Wales Heritage Branch (other sections include National Library for Wales, Cadw, and RCAHMW) and this allows us to share the knowledge and experience of colleagues in related sectors in Wales. It also allows us to contribute to wider agendas in Wales through access to Ministers, AMs, and political advisors.

Via the Prospect All Wales Forum we also are able to interact with representatives from all Prospect branches and sections across Wales, making us better informed and able to access experience and knowledge outside the heritage sector.

The main priorities of the section are to support members in their working lives at Amgueddfa Cymru – National Museum Wales and provide a route for them to contribute to wider agendas through the Wales Heritage Branch.

Prospect addresses the main issues affecting members at regular Staff Forum meetings. It is also represented at:

  • Staff Executive Group
  • Health & Safety Forum and Policy Groups
  • Wellbeing Group
  • Negotiation meetings
  • Volunteers
  • Working groups on specific issues
  • Welsh Government Devolved Sector Group
