Need training but can't take up a Prospect course? Our partners can help
Prospect reps may also attend TUC Education courses run by Unionlearn.
The TUC programme includes both conventional face-to-face courses, offered on a regional basis, and distance learning programmes.
Applications for TUC courses need to be authorised by your Prospect full-time officer or your branch secretary. You will also need to check that your employer will agree to you taking time off for the course, and whether this will be paid or unpaid.
If you are accepted onto a TUC course please notify Prospect's education team. Where circumstances merit, Prospect will fund travel expenses necessary for you to attend TUC training.
We will ask you to complete an application form stating why you are undertaking the training and your estimate of the costs involved, in advance of the course. If your application is successful, you will receive a funding agreement giving approval for you to reclaim your travel costs.
Please advise the education team when you have completed TUC training. This will enable us to make sure that your training achievement is logged against your membership record
