DLHUC
The Department for Levelling Up, Housing & Communities (DLHUC) was formerly the Department for Housing, Communities and Local Government (DHCLG).
The department is responsible for implementing Government policy in housing, planning, local government, building regulations, community cohesion, devolution and decentralisation, cities and local growth, and resilience.
Prospect is recognised to represent staff employed as communications, research, statistical, professional, technical, or science specialists. We also have members employed within the generalist grades in administrative/professional roles. We also represent DLHUC staff either recruited or promoted into the Senior Civil Service with specialist skills.
Members are mainly based in London, with some based in Regional Offices in England.
Prospect represents members as individuals in DLHUC agencies. e.g. HCA
Prospect represents Housing and Planning Inspectors (HPIs SHPIs and PHPIs) in the Planning Inspectorate. Prospect represents specialist Planning Officers and office-based members of the senior management team who are based at the Planning Inspectorate headquarters at Temple Quay, Bristol.
