Scottish Natural Heritage (SNH)
Prospect is one of two trade unions recognised by SNH. Our members come from a wide range of professional backgrounds and specialisms, all of whom support SNH's role to care for the natural heritage, enabling people to enjoy it, helping people understand and appreciate it and supporting those who manage it.
The Prospect SNH branch committee is elected at our Annual Delegates Conference (ADC) held at the beginning of February each year, and comprises five section representatives, together with a Branch Convenor, Secretary, Treasurer and other co-opted representatives such as a Greening rep. Committee meetings are held quarterly, normally in advance of Partnership meetings with SNH management and on the same day as TUS meetings.
Internally Prospect is represented by the Branch Secretary and Convenor who accompany the joint TUS Convenor at regular meetings with SNH management and HR. Externally members of the branch committee and branch officials attend public sector campaign meetings as well as quarterly meetings of the Prospect Heritage Group (Scotland).
