Glasgow Prestwick International Airport
The Glasgow Prestwick Airport branch is comprised of a members working for Prestwick airport mainly, but not exclusively, working in Air Traffic Management and the Airport Fire Service. Prestwick is currently supported by public loans from the Scottish Government and while it does fall directly under Scottish ministerial pay policy it does pay reference to it including the guarantee of no compulsory redundancies.
We have a branch secretary and two other representatives for negotiating and health and safety issues. Again, members are encouraged to get involved if they feel able to contribute.
We are actively involved with airport management each year in pay discussions and regular liaison meetings with the HR team on a bi-monthly basis. We will also facilitate members’ attendance on Prospect courses and encourage them to make use of both local and nationally available services via Prospect.
